Driver, motor boy injured in Lagos crash

 



A yet-to-be-identified driver of a diesel-laden tanker and his motor boy were injured on Wednesday after the tanker fell around the Muritala Mohammed International Airport.


It was gathered that the tanker fell when the driver attempted to make a turn under the NAHCO Bridge.


According to a statement by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the tanker, laden with 33,000 litres of diesel, fell due to the negligence of the driver.


The statement, signed by the Head of Public Affairs of the agency, Nosa Okunbor, read in part, “The driver and truck assistant sustained injuries and have been transferred to hospital and the product have been transloaded successfully.”
