Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno state have stormed the campaign ground where the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar had visited yesterday.
The members who stormed the venue with their brooms on Thursday swept and cleaned the venue.
The party members were led by the state chairman of the party, Ali Bukar Dalori.
Dalori alongside other party stakeholders embarked on a wash-up exercise to get rid of "the toxic mess left behind by the PDP presidential campaign train."
The APC described the outing by the PDP as an unsuccessful one.
Others who joined the exercise included Borno Central Senatorial candidate, Barr. Kaka Shehu Lawan, the Executive Secretary of BOGIS Engr Bababe and the Executive Chairman of Maiduguri Municipal, Hon. Ali Umar Bolori.
In his remark during the exercise, Bolori said: "I will not allow the people in my city to be endangered by the toxic waste of people with an absolute thirst for power and zero tolerance for human feelings."
Meanwhile, there were speculations that the PDP leadership in the state had become disunited over the alleged syphoning of logistics funds.
