Let Obi Tell The World, Did He Pay Bribe When He Won At S'Court After He Was Removed As Gov? – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has challenged the Labour Party presidential candidate in the February 25th election, Peter Obi, to tell the world if he bribed the Supreme Court when he reclaimed his mandate at the Supreme Court after he was removed as governor of Anambra State.

He criticized Peter Obi for faulting the judgment of the election tribunal, and said that the judiciary was right when Obi won in the Supreme Court in 2007, but now that he lost at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, he is seeing the judiciary as being wrong.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Thursday September 7, 2023, Wike said – “Did Peter Obi not win at the Supreme Court when he was removed as governor? Did he pay bribe? Let him tell the world now.

“When he was removed as a governor, did he not reclaim his mandate at the Supreme Court? Judiciary was right, but now that the decision happened, judiciary is wrong.”

Peter Obi lost at the election tribunal in his petition against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory. The tribunal had upheld Tinubu’s victory, but Peter Obi rejected the tribunal’s judgement, and vowed to take the case up to the Supreme Court.
