In a recent outburst, Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, stirred the waters of controversy by suggesting Nigeria’s deviation from democratic norms and an endemic rise in corruption. This, coming from a man whose associates have shown a proclivity towards military interventions, is rather ironic.
