Suspicious package' found at Air Force Academy medical clinic deemed 'unharmful'

The 10th Medical Group Clinic at the United States Air Force Academy will reopen Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious package closed the clinic Tuesday, according to USAFA officials.


The package was initially discovered in the facility Tuesday morning, prompting an immediate closure and investigation. The facility remained closed on Tuesday.


Academy officials announced just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday evening the FBI had determined the suspicious package to be unharmful, however, the investigation is still ongoing.


The 10th Medical Group Main Clinic will reopen for cadet appointments Wednesday at 1 p.m.
